2007 American Idol at the Tacoma Dome!!
Here are my pictures from the 2007 American Idol concert 7/27/07 at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma Wa. Same as last year: there is nothing remotely professional about the quality of these, but I hope you can enjoy them for what they are. (Don't worry, there's a reason the first one here is so bad - the rest are at least better than that :-) Thanks for viewing!

It's a Pop-Tart!!
Just before the concert starts, while it's still dark on stage, this Pop-Tart was working the crowd. Dan says "You might as well get a picture of the Pop-Tart." It was too dark for the picture, but, shrug, why not? Turns out that the Pop-Tart is Blake!
All the Idols take the stage for the first number "Let's Get This Party Started", but I just caught these two.
LaKisha and Melinda sing "Baby Love" along with...
..."Stop in the Name of Love" and "Can't Hurry Love.""
Chris R. joins them for "Heard It Through the Grapevine.
Phil makes a dramatic entrance at the top of the stage to sing "Blaze of Glory."
The frog came flying out of the audience for Haley.
Sanjaya rose up from center stage to sing Michael Jackson and skip and dance around the stage. The back-up singers are at the far right. They were awesome.
Chris S. singing "Typical."
"Lady Marmalade". LaKisha was joined by Gina and Haley who were dressed similarly. This was probably the worst costuming of the night. And yes, the couch rose up out of center stage.
Jordin's first appearance. This was a nice duet with Chris R. that I didn't recognize.
Jordin and Melinda, self-described best buddies, singing "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)". With both of them in full diva mode this was a highlight of the evening.
Blake is singing "She Will Be Loved" and "With Or Without You". His feet were busy punching in loops. It was all him and the singing was strong.
Any time Blake's right hand is extended, you know he's beat-boxing.
Phil and the girls start the second half singing "America".

Another high point of the evening was LaKisha bringing down the house singing "I Will Always Love You."
Phil is about to be joined on stage by...
... Gina. She cleans up pretty good, doesn't she? That's Andy Weiner on the far left at the keyboard.
Gina and Phil had a great time singing together and their voices complemented each other very well.
OK, I swear that hand wasn't there when I lined up the shot! I only left this in because Vandar requested I goose Haley for him, and I seem to have taken care of that afterall. I really like the shot anyway.
Melinda sings "Natural Woman". She was incredible as usual.
Jordin sang "I Who Have Nothing" with more power than ever.
Jordin works the stairs and the rest of the stage for "Heartbreaker". Andy seems to be enjoying himself.
This was lovely, although I don't know what it was. Jordin sounded great accompanying herself on the guitar.

Blake Lewis! Even with his vertical hair factor, I think I'm still a little taller at 5'7".
Jordin Sparks! See, she's a pretty normal size when not standing next to Ryan Seacrest. Really though, could she be any more beautiful?
And last, but most certainly not least, Andy Weiner! Myriad thanks to Andy for the tickets and passes and picture taking! He is a world class nice guy!
